Tap On Tap Off in King’s Lynn
This new Norfolk County Council led BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) initiative is available on Lynx buses from 30th March meaning than travel with us will be easier and smarter than ever before!
Tap on Tap Off uses contactless payments to cap adult fares so that they are never more than the day or weekly ticket price of our zonal unlimited travel tickets (Townrider, Explorer and Coast zones). The applicable adult single fares are automatically calculated when you tap on and tap off on each journey you make over a day or a 7-day period. Once you reach the cap then you’ll not pay any extra!
If you are making one return journey between two points then it may still be more cost effective to purchase a return ticket from the driver in the normal manner. Otherwise
- Tap your contactless card or device when you get on the bus and wait for the beep. There’s no need to tell the driver your destination.
- When you’re ready to leave the bus tap the same card or device on the tap off card reader (located in the aisle of the bus towards the front) until you hear the beep.
Your fare will automatically be calculated.
