The popularity of electric cars and mobility vehicles has shot up in recent years as manufacturers produce more reliable and economical alternatives to combustion engine transport. The popularity boom has meant that these cars, bikes and other vehicles are now much more affordable. Here are just some of the benefits of switching to electric powered transport:

The environment

Lets start with the obvious. Electric vehicles are way better for the natural world around us. Every journey you take is powered by a lithium iron battery which can be charged at home or via one of the thousands of charging points that are popping up all over the county.

Less maintenance and cheaper journeys

Electric vehicles also require less maintenance generally. This is because they don’t need things like oil changes and complicated engine components. The wear and tear on an electric motor is generally less too meaning you are likely to be driving your electric car around for longer!

It’s also true that the price per mile is way less for an electric car, meaning that you can travel cheaper and further. With the ongoing development of longer-lasting batteries it is only a matter of time until the electric car will be able to travel may hundreds of miles on a single charge.

Travel quietly

If you live in a densely populated area, you will likely have noticed how little noise an electric vehicle makes compared to a petrol or diesel or alternative. Overall the only noise you will hear from your electric car is the tyres rubbing against the tarmac or the motor powering up. This is particularly appealing for people living in build up areas.

Futureproof

One of the most significant benefits of purchasing an electric vehicle is that with the global push for zero carbon emissions, it’s likely that infrastructure for charging and other e-vehicle specific features will only grow. Therefore an electric vehicle is likely to be a worthwhile, long-term purchase.
